On December 28, Keiana Herndon, 26, was holding her one-year-old son while streaming on Facebook Live from her friends house in Arkansas.
Keiana was telling the viewers how she wanted to return to school, then she suddenly became ill and starting wiping her face and shaking her head.
She then dropped her phone to the floor and the viewers could only hear the young mother gasping for air, as her son screamed and cried.
In the final moments of the video a friend can be seen entering Keiana’s home, thirty minutes after she first collapsed, before calling the emergency services.
‘She go to wiping her face and shaking her head, and I was thinking, what’s wrong with Kei? We call her Kei. She then, she fell back and then Rylee picked the phone up and started talking and playing and then I hear [gasping noise], then I heard one more … I didn’t hear nothing else,’ the stunned aunt told the outlet.
The video is now removed from Facebook. The mother had over 3,400 friends on Facebook but it was unsure how many were actually watching the live stream.
Her father, Richard Herndon, says he can’t bear to watch the video just yet, according to Arkansas 4 News. ‘I don’t have the strength to watch it right now,’ he said.
An autopsy is to be performed to determine cause of death.
A friend set up a Gofundme Page has been set up to help raise money for her two young boys, Ja’Kylan and Rylee.
