Shortly after 1PM Debbie was rushed to the hospital after someone at the Beverly Hills home of her son, Todd, called 911 to report that she had a possible stroke. Debbie was making funeral plans for her daughter Carrie Fisher who passed away yesterday.
Debbie famously divorced Eddie Fisher in 1959 after his affair with Elizabeth Taylor.Debbie married 2 more times in 1960 and 1984.
She played iconic roles in “Tammy and the Bachelor” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” … for which she earned an Oscar nomination.
Carrie Fisher died Tuesday at age 60 after suffering a heart attack on a London to Los Angeles flight on Friday. Fans from around the world have mourned her death, and well-wishers set up a makeshift star for Fisher on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Fisher’s half-sister, Joely, tweeted “God speed mama” and a photo of herself and Reynolds on Wednesday afternoon. Joely is the daughter of Eddie Fisher and actress Connie Stevens.
Carrie’s relationship with Debbie was the focus of Carrie’s semi-autobiographical book, “Postcards from the Edge,” which was later adapted for the big screen, starring Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine.
Debbie’s survived by her son Todd, who tells us, “She’s with Carrie.”
